ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HONOREE Bobbie Pratt Priddy, a member of the Class of 1954 was presented a plaque of appreciation and saluted by her former basketball coach and administrator Wylie Wheeler during the Alumni Day program.

ALUMNI OFFICERS elected to serve during the current 2004-05 year are (from left) Associate Secretary Julia Davis Robinson (Class of ’87); President Cindy McCartney Milligan (Class of ’80), and Secretary Marcelle Stevens Moore (Class of ’60). Not pictured: Vice-President Alan Taylor (Class of ’81) and Treasurer Debra Mallard Buchner (Class of ’72). The annual reunion is held the third Saturday in June.

CLASS OF 1939 graduates stood during the singing of the Alma Mater at the Alumni Day program. The former classmates reunited as the oldest special anniversary class. There were 47 grads in the class; twenty class members are now deceased. (From left) Charles Creswell, Bob Wood, Margaret Sue Haley Phillips and Mary Evelyn Denney, spouse of the late Jack Denney, a member of the ’39 class.

PIANIST Naomi Ogle chided the Alumni Day crowd for their lukewarm rendition of the Alma Mater, stopping in the middle of the song and saying, “That’s awful” before starting over and receiving a more enthusiastic response.
