PRESENTING SCHOLARSHIPS – Milan High principal Tim Warren (Class of '74) and Alumni Association president Debbie Ownby McManus (Class of '79) made the presentation of 28 scholarships worth approximately $29,000. Warren and McManus both celebrated anniversary years with their classmates.

POWELL SCHOLARSHIP WINNER Sheena Newbill was congratulated by Robert Powell after winning the $5,000 L.R. and Hassie Powell Scholarship. Robert Powell established the grant in honor of his parents’ support of young people. The Powell scholarship is awarded to a Milan grad who showed the most improvement over four years of high school. Mr. Powell traveled from California to attend the reunion event.

NEW PRIVATE SCHOLARSHIP - Brad Jones (left) received the new Betty Fisher Short scholarship, awarded to a Milan grad planning to attend Union University and study healthcare. Doug Short of Humboldt, son of the late Betty Short, congratulated Jones after the scholarship presentation, which was made by Coni Short Mann, a member of the Milan class of 1965.
