| Welcome to MILAN MEMORIES. This is a scrapbook of special and unforgettable memories of Milan High School. It is a treasure chest which preserves our memories of the people, relationships, events, and experiences which have helped to shape our lives. As we review our past experiences at MHS, there are memories of the positive influence of certain teachers, the deep friendships we shared with certain classmates, the particular incidents which took place, and specific occasions which we all shared together. There are flashbacks to those experiences which were humorous as well as sad. We are who we are today, in part, due to the powerful influences which had a profound impact our lives. Reflect back over your experiences at MHS. Write out your most unforgettable memories. Send copies of these to me, for I will be collecting these various memories and building a file that will serve as a storehouse of information which will be integrated into future articles. The more information I am able to gather, the more complete our storehouse will be. Credit will be given where credit is due! MILAN MEMORIES articles provide us with an opportunity to collect, save, and bring together the collective experiences of the many persons who have been associated with MHS. Now we can bring together all of this information, and it will not be lost in the dust of history. Further, it will be preserved for those who are yet unborn. At some point in the future they will be able to read about the things that happened "way back when," and to know that this is a part of their priceless heritage. This connective tissue which links past, present, and future is what someone had in mind long ago when they wrote: "Our strong band shall ne'er be broken...It shall never die."
